Lockheed Martin and the U.S. Army conducted a virtual joint integrated fires demonstration during the Balikatan 2025 exercise, connecting advanced and legacy systems for the first time within the U.S. Indo-Pacific Command’s operational area.

In a successful trial on May 5, 2025, the team transmitted targeting data between multiple platforms to redirect an in-flight simulated rocket toward a moving surface target during the Maritime Strike mission. This is a significant step toward giving the Army the ability to use HIMARS to target mobile maritime threats.

Seamlessly integrating systems that were never intended to work together gives military forces a tactical edge in fast-changing combat environments.

This demonstration represents the initial phase in developing a truly multi-domain missile system.

Linking data in real time allows mobile target engagement without requiring expensive seeker technology.

The demonstration is part of Lockheed Martin’s ongoing commitment to integrating current assets with 21st Century Security® innovations to enable faster, smarter battlefield decisions.
