At the 2025 Paris Air Show on June 17, Lockheed Martin and Korea Aerospace Industries (KAI) formalized a new MoU to deepen their long-standing collaboration. The agreement extends their partnership to cover rotorcraft manufacturing, development of next-generation air platforms, space systems, uncrewed aerial vehicles, crewed-uncrewed teaming, training solutions, and sustainment services.
Signed by Lockheed Martin COO Frank St. John and KAI CEO Goo-young Kang, the MoU builds on a partnership that began more than three decades ago with F-16 licensed production. Their cooperation has since evolved to include the T-50 advanced trainer, FA-50 light fighter, KF-21 development, and robust logistics support programs.
The companies are already identifying additional areas for joint work, including further collaboration on the T-50 and FA-50 export efforts, notably supporting the U.S. Navy’s Undergraduate Jet Training System.
