Hungary’s Air Force has taken delivery of its first three L-39 Skyfox aircraft from Aero Vodochody, signaling a key milestone in its defense modernization. The jets arrived at Kecskemét Air Base and will be used to boost the country’s advanced pilot training capacity.
These aircraft form part of a 12-unit deal and will be deployed to the 101st Tactical Training Squadron of the Aviation Brigade. They’ll also support Hungary’s participation in the NATO Flight Training Europe (NFTE) program, which promotes joint, flexible pilot training across allied countries. Aero will further assist Hungary with simulation platforms, operational equipment, and flight crew training.
