A new agreement between Patria and GDELS-Santa Barbara Sistemas will see the production and maintenance of ASCOD infantry fighting vehicles take place in Latvia. Operations will be conducted at Patria’s Valmiera-based Defense Partnership Latvia (DPL) plant, a joint venture with Unitruck. This collaboration marks a dual milestone: five years of Patria operating in Latvia and one year since DPL’s opening. Initial ASCOD units are expected to roll out by June 2026, joining the already manufactured Patria 6×6 armored personnel carriers at the facility.
