Kongsberg Discovery has handed over its HUGIN Superior autonomous underwater vehicle (AUV) prototype for a major US Navy undersea drone initiative. The delivery follows successful acceptance trials held in Norway earlier this year. Prior to this, the platform underwent a detailed technology evaluation by the Defense Innovation Unit (DIU) in 2023.
