The Organisation for Joint Armament Cooperation (OCCAR) has amended a contract to modernize the initial U212A Todaro-class submarines of the Italian Navy. The effort, part of the Near Future Submarine program, stems from a mid-life upgrade study and will introduce advanced systems used in newer submarines. The update will ensure technological parity and reduce expenses through integrated logistics support.
