India has launched an advanced battlefield surveillance system called “Sanjay,” aimed at greatly improving the operational effectiveness of the Indian Army. Developed in partnership with state-owned Bharat Electronics Limited, the system combines data from multiple ground and aerial sensors to provide a unified “common surveillance picture” of the battlefield. This capability enhances accuracy, reduces duplication, and optimizes the use of the Army Data Network and Satellite Communication Network.
