Israel has reportedly conducted the first operational deployment of a high-powered laser weapon in combat, successfully intercepting kamikaze drones launched by Hezbollah from Lebanon.

Rafael Advanced Defense Systems released footage capturing the engagement, in which the laser system tracked and disabled an airborne target within seconds. The intercepted drone appeared to be a small, fixed-wing UAV consistent with Iranian-made Ababil-T or similar one-way attack platforms commonly employed by Hezbollah.
