FMV, Sweden’s Defence Materiel Administration, has signed an armoured vehicle maintenance contract with Finnish defence services company Millog Oy. This agreement seeks to reinforce Swedish-Finnish collaboration and guarantee ongoing technical support for armoured all-terrain vehicles, including those based on the Patria XA 202 platform.

Through this partnership, FMV and the Swedish Armed Forces will benefit from Millog’s extensive maintenance expertise and can leverage Finland’s service network during training exercises and deployments outside Sweden.

“We welcome this strengthened cooperation, which enhances our joint defence readiness. This agreement enables Millog to provide critical support to FMV and the Swedish Armed Forces from Finland, on Swedish soil, and wherever operational demands arise,” stated Toni Piispa, Director at Millog Oy.

With the security landscape in Northern Europe continuously evolving, the demand for flexible mobility and cross-border partnerships is growing. Patria armoured vehicles are particularly capable in large, challenging terrains, making them ideal for use throughout the Nordic and Baltic areas. The agreement boosts Sweden’s access to reliable regional maintenance and supports the potential development of specialised vehicle subsystems.

Effective from spring 2025, this contract is part of FMV’s broader mission to secure the sustainability and long-term operational readiness of key defence systems through regional cooperation.
