Exail has secured a contract to supply five DriX H-8 uncrewed surface vehicles (USVs) to an undisclosed European country. These USVs will support intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) operations. Originally designed for hydrographic missions, the DriX H-8 can carry a variety of payloads for high-quality data collection in both shallow and deep waters. Exail has not disclosed additional contract details. The USVs can operate via remote control or supervised autonomy and remain functional in sea state level 5. They are capable of sailing at 14 knots for 24 hours, 7 knots for seven days, or 4 knots for up to 10 days. Measuring 7.71 meters in length, the platform has a displacement of 1.4 tons and a draft of 2 meters. It is powered by a 38HP diesel engine with a 250-liter fuel capacity and a fuel consumption rate of approximately 2 liters per hour.
