Sydney-based DroneShield has secured three contracts to deliver handheld drone detection and countermeasure systems, along with related accessories, to a European military customer through a local reseller.
Valued at 61.6 million Australian dollars ($40 million), the record-breaking order is DroneShield’s largest to date, surpassing its entire 2024 revenue of 57.7 million Australian dollars ($37.7 million). Deliveries are scheduled for completion in the third quarter of this year. The announcement follows a separate 32.2-million Australian dollar ($21 million) order from another customer in April.
To support this growing demand, DroneShield is setting up its first European manufacturing and assembly site, marking its initial expansion beyond Australia. The new European Centre of Excellence will handle manufacturing, R&D, drone testing, and training, aiming for at least 65 percent European content in select solutions.
