Denmark’s Home Guard has received two De Havilland Twin Otter STOL utility aircraft to enhance its operational support for national defense and law enforcement. Acquired under an eight-year lease, the aircraft are configured for patrol missions and will be used for surveillance, search operations, and tasks under the EU’s Frontex agency. They replace two Britten-Norman Defender aircraft leased in 2015, which are set to retire after logging approximately 6,800 flight hours.
