Curtiss-Wright Corporation announced today the award of a $31 million firm-fixed-price indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract by the Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) to supply Airborne Mission Processors (AMP) and spare parts for the MQ-4C Triton unmanned aircraft (PMA-262) and PMA-290 Maritime Patrol and Reconnaissance Aircraft. The contract also includes Total Lifecycle Management™, as well as training and engineering support, with work to be handled by Curtiss-Wright’s Defense Solutions division until September 2029.

The AMP system incorporates Curtiss-Wright’s advanced Modular Open Systems Approach (MOSA) modules, such as the VPX6-1959 single board computer, CHAMP-XD2M High-Density Multi-Core HPEC Module, VPX6-684 Network Switch, VPX6-4943 GPGPU board, along with the necessary front panels, fan control boards, and chassis assemblies.

Previously, Curtiss-Wright also supplied MOSA-based Keyed Broad Area Maritime Surveillance Airborne Recorder (K-BAR) Network Attached Storage (NAS) systems supporting the MQ-4C Triton and upcoming PMA-290 platforms, including chassis, docking stations, removable storage units, and lab cabling kits.
