Boeing has revealed the first of eight P-8A Poseidon maritime patrol aircraft ordered by Germany at its facility in Seattle. The aircraft is expected to be delivered to Berlin by August 2025, following Germany’s initial procurement of five units in 2021 and an additional three in 2023. The P-8A will replace the retiring fleet of Lockheed Martin P-3C Orions currently used for maritime patrol and anti-submarine warfare.
