Bell Textron Inc. announced the signing of a contract with the Tunisian Air Force for the purchase of 12 SUBARU Bell 412EPX helicopters. This marks the first order for this Bell 412 variant in the region. The helicopters will enhance Tunisia’s capabilities in multi-role military and security operations. Tunisia’s Bell helicopter fleet now totals 39 aircraft, including UH-1s, 205s, and OH-58s.
The Bell 412 is globally recognized for its mission adaptability and operational dependability. More than half of the Bell 412 helicopters worldwide are deployed in military and public service roles. Tunisia joins other recent customers of the Bell 412, such as the Japan Coast Guard and various European ministries of interior.
The SUBARU Bell 412EPX features enhanced payload capabilities, including a useful load of 5,385 lbs, a maximum internal weight of 12,200 lbs, and an external weight capacity of 13,000 lbs, supporting critical mission versatility.
