BAE Systems has been chosen by the US Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) to further develop and support the deployment of the Battlefield Assisted Trauma Distributed Operations Kit (BATDOK) under the newly launched Force Optimisation through Rapid-prototyping, Gear Enhancements & Innovative Technology (FORGE-IT) program. Together, BATDOK and FORGE-IT aim to modernize battlefield medical capabilities, enabling warfighters to deliver timely care to injured personnel and ensure seamless medical tracking throughout their recovery. BATDOK, a digital application co-developed by AFRL and BAE Systems, electronically records injuries and treatments from the point of injury, replacing outdated paper-based systems and ensuring critical patient information is reliably passed to subsequent medical teams. The FORGE-IT initiative will further enhance this system with artificial intelligence, remote patient monitoring, and advanced clinical decision support to improve field medical operations.
