Babcock has secured a contract to provide Pilatus PC-7 MKX training aircraft to both the French Air and Space Force and the French Navy. Valued at 795 million euros ($827.9 million), the agreement includes 22 low-wing aircraft, comprehensive through-life support, infrastructure elements, and pilot equipment. The PC-7 MKX fleet will be based at Salon-de-Provence Air Base in southern France, where trainee pilots will complete their standard flight training before moving on to fighter and transport roles.
