Saab has chosen Anduril to supply solid rocket motors (SRMs) for the Ground-Launched Small Diameter Bomb (GLSDB), a system co-developed with Boeing.
Anduril’s new SRM will replace the legacy M26 rocket motor from the Multiple Launch Rocket System, offering enhanced manufacturing efficiency and improved safety standards.
Development and qualification work is already underway, with full-rate production targeted for 2026. To support this effort, Anduril is investing $75 million to expand its McHenry, Mississippi facility, which is expected to be fully operational next month to help meet rising SRM demand.
This manufacturing boost builds on a $14.3 million Defense Production Act award and integrates advanced automation processes aimed at increasing production speed and reducing costs.
Separately, Anduril recently completed a successful static test fire of a 21-inch hypersonic rocket motor designed for the US Navy’s Standard Missile program.
