Airbus Defence and Space has been selected by France’s defense procurement agency (DGA) to develop a new communications network for both its surface and submarine naval fleets. The €480 million ($502.7 million) contract includes the system’s construction, installation, and ongoing operational maintenance. The network is scheduled to be deployed across over 80 vessels between 2028 and 2032.
