German Chancellor Friedrich Merz announced on Wednesday, during Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky’s visit to Berlin, that Germany will support Ukraine in developing long-range weapons capable of striking deep within Russian territory.
Following the statement, both nations’ defense ministers signed a memorandum of understanding to collaborate on long-range weapons systems. Specific technical details and the names of manufacturing partners were not disclosed.
