U.S. officials announced Monday that the State Department has approved a $1.4 billion military aircraft and equipment sale to the United Arab Emirates, just days before President Donald Trump’s upcoming visit. The proposed deal includes six CH-47F Chinook helicopters and additional gear valued at $1.32 billion. According to the State Department’s Bureau of Political-Military Affairs, the sale is intended to advance U.S. foreign policy and bolster national security interests.
