The US Department of Defense has awarded a $590 million contract to the Bell Boeing Joint Program Office for the production and delivery of five CMV-22B Osprey tiltrotor aircraft for the US Navy. The majority of the work will take place in Fort Worth, Texas, under the oversight of the Naval Air Systems Command based in Patuxent River, Maryland. Project completion is anticipated by January 2028.
