The Australian Defence Force has officially received its first M142 High Mobility Artillery Rocket System (HIMARS) through a foreign military sale agreement with the United States. This delivery supports Australia’s broader defense strategy aimed at enhancing its long-range strike capabilities to address evolving security challenges. The total investment in the HIMARS program stands at 1.6 billion Australian dollars ($1 billion), covering up to 42 units.
