Lewis Machine & Tool (LMT) Defense has been awarded a contract to deliver Sturmgewehr 25 assault rifles to the Swiss Armed Forces. The rifles, chambered in 5.56×45mm, are based on LMT’s Modular Ambidextrous Rifle System – Light (MARS-L) platform. According to a German news outlet, the weapons will be supplied in both 12-inch and 16-inch gas piston configurations.
