Displayed during a portfolio briefing by the Program Executive Office for Unmanned Aviation and Strike Weapons, the image accompanied other advanced missile systems like the AIM-9M/X Sidewinder and AIM-120 AMRAAM. The latest depiction highlights the AIM-260A’s resemblance to the AIM-120 in fuselage design but shows a notably larger rocket motor, likely aimed at enhancing its range.
