France has received its final NH90 Caïman Tactical Transport Helicopter from Airbus, completing a delivery program initiated in 2011 to supply 63 helicopters in a customized “Standard 1” configuration with enhanced logistics capabilities. This marks the conclusion of the initial phase of the army’s rotorcraft fleet expansion. An additional 18 NH90s in the upgraded “Standard 2” configuration are scheduled for delivery between 2026 and 2029.
