Lockheed Martin, an American company, has delivered the 30th upgraded F-16 Viper aircraft to the Hellenic Air Force. This enhancement boosts Greece’s defense capabilities and improves interoperability with allied forces. The delivery is part of a larger modernization initiative aimed at strengthening Greece’s combat aviation fleet. Athens started upgrading its US-made F-16s to the Viper standard under a $1.5 billion contract signed in 2018.
