China has unveiled the KJ-3000, a new Airborne Early Warning and Control (AEW&C) aircraft aimed at bolstering its threat detection capabilities. Built on the domestically developed Y-20 strategic transport platform and powered by four high-performance engines, the KJ-3000 features dual rotating active electronically scanned array (AESA) radars for 360-degree surveillance. Chinese media report that this advanced aircraft will significantly enhance the People’s Liberation Army’s monitoring operations, especially in the South China Sea and the western Pacific.
