Latvia has signed a contract with Finnish defense company Patria to supply an additional 56 armored personnel carriers (APCs) worth over 60 million euros ($63.3 million). These vehicles will function as command and control platforms for the Latvian Armed Forces, with deliveries scheduled from this year through 2029.
This order complements the ongoing delivery of 200 6×6 APCs under the Common Armoured Vehicle System (CAVS) program — a collaborative effort between Finland, Germany, Latvia, and Sweden. The vehicles are being manufactured domestically under a separate 200-million-euro ($210 million) deal finalized in 2021.
