The Romanian Ministry of Defense has announced plans to acquire 44 used Amphibious Assault Vehicles (AAVs) from the United States—twice the number initially proposed in 2023. This procurement is part of a broader effort to modernize the Romanian Army and enhance its operational capabilities through 2040.
