The US Army has awarded SMARTSHOOTER a $13 million contract to deliver its cutting-edge SMASH 2000L targeting system. Also referred to as SMASH 3000, the device is designed for handheld rifles and leverages AI and tracking algorithms to improve soldier accuracy in high-intensity missions. It’s lightweight, compact, and offers up to 72 hours of use on a single charge. The system will be implemented under the army’s “Transformation In Contact” program, which accelerates integration of innovative technologies. Manufacturing and deployment support will come from the company’s Virginia-based US division.
