Poland’s Land Forces have officially introduced the K2 Black Panther main battle tanks during a multinational military exercise in Slovakia.

Confirmation came from the 9th Braniewo Armored Cavalry Brigade, one of the primary units operating the new platforms.

To date, Poland has received around 110 K2 tanks under a military modernization initiative launched in July 2022 to upgrade its heavy ground combat capabilities.

The first batch of 10 tanks, manufactured by South Korea’s Hyundai Rotem, was delivered three months after the agreement, accompanied by 29 K9 Thunder howitzers as part of the same procurement.
