The Pentagon is accelerating efforts to integrate generative AI into its core defense functions, awarding a $10 million contract to Ask Sage to expand large language model (LLM) applications across all Combatant Commands, the Joint Staff, and the Office of the Secretary of Defense.
This initiative is focused on enhancing battlefield decision-making and improving efficiency in operational planning, logistics, command and control, intelligence, cybersecurity, and weapons development.
Central to the project is the US Army’s LLM workspace, where Ask Sage’s AI-driven tools will be scaled to work effectively across both secure and open networks.
