South Korea has revealed that it is in the final phase of discussions to deliver K2 Black Panther tanks to Poland, as per a statement from the country’s defense procurement agency.

This prospective contract would fall under the broader $13.7 billion defense agreement signed in 2022, aimed at strengthening Poland’s military capabilities in response to regional tensions.

A DAPA spokesperson confirmed ongoing coordination between both governments and defense firms to swiftly wrap up the negotiations, though financial terms were not provided.

If agreed upon, the tank deal would mark the most valuable export centered on a single weapon system from South Korea to date.

South Korean media outlet Yonhap suggests the project could be worth around $6 billion, with Hyundai Rotem producing most of the tanks and the rest assembled in Poland.
